Fall Liscomb Lodge Wedding

Tucked away on the serene shores of the Liscomb River, Liscombe Lodge provided the perfect backdrop for Anna-Marie and Stefan’s beautiful late September wedding. Surrounded by the vibrant rustic surroundings and babbling creek… scenery that Nova Scotia is known for, this celebration was nothing short of magical.

Capturing the Love

Photographing Anna-Marie and Stefan was an absolute joy. They were relaxed, full of laughter, and shared an undeniable connection that made my job feel effortless. They leaned into the playful moments, from stealing glances during the ceremony to chasing golden-hour light for portraits. Liscomb Lodge does not disappoint in photo ops and we had many!

The surrounding landscape gave us countless opportunities for stunning photos, from the coastal beach where we had their first look to the 1800’s cemetery (yes you read right). One of my favorite moments was capturing them on the deck overlooking the River just as the sun was setting.

A Picturesque Outdoor Ceremony

Anna-Marie and Stefan opted for an outdoor ceremony, taking full advantage of the crisp autumn air and the breathtaking scenery. The ceremony space was adorned with simple yet elegant florals that complemented the natural beauty of the lodge’s riverside setting. Guests were seated with the sound of rustling leaves and the gentle flow of the river, creating an atmosphere of tranquility and intimacy.

The highlight of the ceremony? Their beloved Leonberger, who served as the ring bearer. He stole the show as he proudly walked down the aisle with a very apropos barrel attached to his collar that held the rings. His happy loving demeanor was a perfect reflection of the couple’s bond—not to mention, he looked incredibly dapper!

Why Liscombe Lodge Is Perfect for a Fall Wedding

This wedding was a beautiful reminder of why I love photographing at Liscombe Lodge. The natural surroundings, combined with the peaceful atmosphere, create a space where couples can truly connect—not just with each other, but with their loved ones as well. When I tell you everyone felt relaxed, I mean it. There’s just something about this venue. Fall at Liscombe Lodge is particularly special, with the rich hues of orange, red, and yellow but especially the green this time around. (fall was taking it’s time showing up!) providing a stunning palette that makes every photo pop.

Anna-Marie and Stefan’s wedding was everything you’d hope for in a fall celebration—romantic, warm, and filled with personal touches. It was an honor to be part of their day and to capture these moments for them to cherish forever.
