South Shore, Nova Scotia
From one coastline to the next, the South Shore is definitely a fan favorite. There are so many airbnb rentals you can grab for family and guests coming from out of town, giving them that real costal cozy experience. The views are absolutey spectacular! I remember staying at a home that was over 100 years old that overlooked the ocean. I also couldn’t believe the history of the area. It was specifically Hubbards, Nova Scotia where we stayed, not too far from the city yet far enough that we felt like we were in a whole different world. Fun fact- did you know that they fished Tuna there back in the day? AND they still do!
Ok back to wedding talk. One of my favorite venues on the South Shore is the Farm At South Cove. It is a masterpiece of a venue where you have rustic meets modern. I can’t find a way to explain it otherwise. The beautiful barn is massive and yet feels intimate all at the same time. They’ve painted every single piece of wood white which really gives it that wedding vibe. To be a photographer in this space is a dream and I got to last summer. Check out Kate and Mike’s wedding ! Aside from the barn there are modern minimalistic chalets at the top of the property and below it. So if you want fun, nice photos it’s absolutely possible here. Even if it rains you have options onsite to hide from any inclement weather.
