Sunstone Winery Wedding - Santa Ynez Vineyard Photography

When documenting a wedding, surroundings do play a part in the chemistry of the day. The settings at the Sunstone Winery in Santa Ynez, just outside of Santa Barbara California were at the top of my list for THE most beautiful landscape I've ever documented a wedding at. Situated amidst rolling vineyard hills and valleys, it was truly a photographers paradise. Most definitely a playground for anyone with a camera and not to be forgotten....those with a thirst for wines. Delicious wines!

The highly talented Armando of Alegria By Design was at the helm of the entire weekend making sure everything went off without a 'hitch' (pun intended? :) ) The good hitch that did go off was with the bride and groom who wed under the canopy of the trees overlooking the vineyard. Adjacent to them...a jaw dropping melody was sang by their close friend who is a professional Opera Singer from Japan. She serenaded the guests during the bride's walk down the aisle as well as during dinner. The dinner? Let me tell you....it was to die for. The catering was provided by Omni Catering located in Santa Barbara. Everything from Chianti braised short ribs to local Sea Bass Fillet. I was in food heaven. As friends passed around the plates, italian family dinner style, I 'saw' an orchestra playing before my eyes. I cannot fully explain it but perhaps the images below will help you visualize the masterpiece which was hands, laughter, plates and love dancing to and fro across the table.. The long table was wonderfully lined with Olive branches, hydrangea and roses all displayed perfectly by Anna Le Pley Taylor. I wish my dinner table looked like this every day... for real.
