Gill & Patrice's Amazing Science Center Montreal Wedding
I met Gill and Pat back in the blissful days of summer, when they both came from Ottawa for their Botanical Gardens/ Old Montreal Engagement Session. We had a blast and honestly it was as though we had known each other for a long time. Yes, I brought champagne for them. And of course, I had to join in for a swig or two. They made my job easy. Why? Because they were smitten in love allowing me to document them not only in July but also this past October for their Science Center wedding.
What I've noticed after photographing many many weddings is that some brides have a knack for certain things. Like, planning the seating arrangement. Or, making beautiful handmade invitations. Gill however had a knack for everything. Down to every detail with the incredible help from her fabulous wedding planner, Allison Plachcinski Cohen this wedding was just perfect in every sense. She chose vendors who suited both her and Pat to a "T" which helped the day flow effortlessly.
While the weather wasn't in our favor it did not stop us from going outside and photographing in front of the clock tower, a very special spot for Gill and Pat. It's where they got engaged. They wrapped themselves in each others embrace and yes, Gill for a period of time in Pats coat. Even later on in the night we still fought against mother nature and managed to grab some awesome shots with the Montreal City Skyline. Thanks for being the ultimate troopers Gill and Pat!
As the evening went on, Gill gave a toast to her late father which tugged on many hearts. She danced with her uncle which did not leave one dry eye. It is for certain that she married a man who will take such good care of her. Their wedding day was about friends, family and love. Most of all for Pat, it was about dedicating his life to the woman he adores. You two have years ahead of you full of happiness with friends who care for you, family who supports you. Thank you for sharing this day with all of us.
