Jill & Matias
You know that feeling when you get a text message, you see it. You know you’re going to respond but then… time passes. And a day or two later you’re like..wait..DID I RESPOND?? It really felt like you did but alas…your dear friend is still waiting by their phone…waiting for you. Ok maybe not that much dramatics but you get the point.
This is exactly what I’m going through when it comes to blogging. I thought for SURE I posted Matias and Jills Moncton wedding. I double and tripled checked. But nope. It was all in my head. So here I am, finally doing it because honestly, this wedding needs to be shown.
Matias and Jill were an easy peasy couple to photograph. Totally up for anything, very chill which made the day fly by. It was my first time photographing a wedding in downtown Moncton. And although I lived there for some time ..that was a lonnnng time ago. Seeing the city in a different view- from a photographers view gave me a new appreciation for all this small city has to offer. I’m so thankful I get to do this job…it’s something that with everything going on worldwide- I never want to take for granted ever again. Whether it’s taking wedding photos in Montreal, or in Moncton ..heck wherever…it’s truly an honor.
There were some really beautiful traditional Eritrean elements added to the wedding, including a 2nd day of celebrations where Jill and Matias dressed in traditional clothing from his family’s country. It was spectacular and Jill looked AMAZING! I’ll be adding more photos soon.
So enough talking…. here’s their wedding!
Take a look for yourselves, and remember…always double check your messages! There’s some conversations that if you’re like me- only happened in your head :)
